So here we are again; another day another photo shoot. This time working with elegant modern and classic suits from PARAIKAS men’s boutique.
We took a bit of time to chat with the owners to give us some tips on how a men’s suit ought to fit.
- Length of jacket must not be longer or shorter than the hips, should cover the butt and zipper of trousers.
- Sleeve length of jacket must stop where the palm of the hand begins so as to show about one centimeter of the cuff of the shirt sleeve.
- When the jacket is buttoned it needs to emphasize the waist without pulling or opening the lapel.
PARAIKAS started in 1966. A family business which began by importing and retailing menswear as well as manufacturing and exporting to locations such as Russia and the Middle East. About 20 years ago the family owned factory closed and the family focused on importing and retail sales as their main form of business, becoming one of the leading stores in the capital of Cyprus for the perfect fit in suits.
A new chapter in the history of PARAIKAS suits will soon begin catering to young boys with an interest in elegant suits and dapper attire.
For our shoot we chose an electric blue suit with a bit of shine, combined with retro tones of brick brown for shoes, belt and tie. We then went on to pair a classic grey suit with a white shirt and a Tuscan sun yellow tie. Coming to a close, we went the 007 route and chose a classic tuxedo a la James Bond with touches of blue in the bowtie and handkerchief.
